Waterton 2 Glacier Relay

Swift Mother Runners at the start line.  Does it look like we know what we are getting ourselves into... Well, 161 km and lots of wind and crazy terrain was what we were in for...
Look at this team!  Some of these women had to run SUPER hard legs to run and they did it with style and grace.  I couldn`t believe how tough these ladies were (are)!
Me, Megan, Kathy, Jodi, and Heather perched on the ledge, checking out the view from the top of Erin`s super hard leg.  Poor Erin!  It was the hardest leg by far!  At least she didn`t puke when she got to the top like one poor guy!
Yikes.  Who is that girl...
We did it!  After 17 ish hours, we finished the race.  We weren`t in last place (or first either), but we made it.  There were bumps and bruises along the way, but I think we were all made stronger and we certainly made new friends!
At this cool spoon shop in East Glacier, MT.  A mouse ran across the floor an scared some of us (not mentioning any names).

So, the long and short of it is, we started in Cardston, AB at 6 am Saturday, June 25 and ended up in East Glacier that same night at about 10:30.  There were no bears or mountain lions ( I think someone saw a fox), but there were plenty of porta potty stops, snacks, laughs, and a lot of good times.  I would do it again.  I think.

You totally rock the fanny pack Mindy! :)

Sometimes I wish I was allowed to run, but then I remember that walking is pretty cool too. :) Looks like a wonderful time. (and such beautiful country)

ok, just to be clear it is not a fanny pack, but a water bottle holder. Come on, I am cooler than that! :)

I am so impressed!!! That sounds a lot like the Wasatch back Ragnar I did a few years ago witha team of women....ours was 189 miles from Logan to Park City, Ut. It was AWESOME! My favorite run was the middle of the night up on a mountain--so cool.

You look beautiful--even out on the road running! I am so impressed. I have not kept up the running and need to get back into it! I am looking at a half marathon this Feb. Wish you were closer and could do it with me!! I could use a running buddy! You have inspired me as, usual!
