A week...

I can't believe that it has been a week since I last posted!  Time has flown by SO quickly!  There so many things coming up that we are looking forward to!  Next Saturday, Jaren and I are running in the Rattler Run, then the week after that is the Spring Karate Tournament here in MH.  Soccer and baseball are due to start right away and Carter's spring recital is just about here!  But, the most fun of all...our nephews and their truly delightful parents are coming up from the states for Easter.  Hooray!  We are so excited to see Nate, Steph, the boys and Uncle Jerry!  We are going to pack a whole lot of fun into one week!

I am so excited. What do you think?

My friend Heather called me the other day and asked if I would like to do this.  I thought it sounded like a great idea and told her I was in.  Then, I asked Lindsey if he thought it sounded fun!  He said something to the effect of, well, not for me - but for you, yah!  SO, we are just waiting to finalize one last team member and then we are in!  Just in case you check out the web site - I am so NOT doing the very hard "legs" or even the hard ones.  I am moderate or easy all the way!  Wow, that sounds bad if you think about it too much...

Thanks to all those with such great ideas!

I have been blogging for a couple of years now, but I think, only recently have I really entered into the blogging world - for real!  I did not used to blog very often and truly, did not understand how to do much of anything (not that I am an expert or anything now)!  Hey, I didn't even know to label my posts, so there are probably two full years of other stuff that isn't labeled.  Oh well.  Live and learn and on with the reason for my post!

I love, love, love reading and getting ideas from other people's blogs!  Sisterscafe.blogspot.com is definitely one of my fav places for yummy recipes.  Maybe I am a bit biased because these lovely gals are Lindsey's cousins, but really, I think their blog is FABULOUS!

I also find wonderful family ideas and gospel inspired ideas at many of my friends (and blogging "friends") sites.  My friend Jaime always has great things to say over at her blog, and I love that she does a weekly book review!  I can't wait to read some of her suggestions!

Lastly, I want to especially thank those for the General Conference posts that happened recently.  We had such a great weekend with Conference.  We had treats, and conference packets (which only Tyler really seemed to like - oh well) and a LOT of really great discussion.  I know that I am truly blessed in my life and I have so many people to thank for that!  So, THANK YOU!

Happy Birthday TYLER!

Tyler Robert Halladay was not like any of this brothers - Right from the start!  He was born via c-section in the middle of the night AND on April Fools Day!  What a great way to begin a life of fun and laughter!  Tyler was the smallest of the boys - weighing in at 10 lbs even!  He was (and still is) a real cutie!

Tyler loves to make faces for the camera - and well, sometimes he is just making faces for fun!

Tyler has always loved playing outside!  The muddier the better!

A little mess on your face, anyone??
Cutie dinosaur!  Like Kayden, Tyler has a passion for paleontology and one year for Halloween I made him this costume.  It had to be a black dinosaur with purple - and that is what it was!
Another thing we love about Tylo is his desire to create weird food combinations.  Here he is making a bun with a yogurt tube, cheese string and peanut m&m's.  Yum.
This is my handsome, growing oh so big and fast - 7 year old!  Tyler you are so funny and cuddly and lovable and we are so blessed to have you as part of our family!  Happy Birthday!
