Calgary Temple

Okay, so maybe not the best picture of some, but I love the back drop!!  We were able to take the boys to the Calgary Temple Open House back in October.  What a blessing!  It was a little hectic getting there - perhaps a little contention in the vehicle, but we made it!  The temple was so beautiful and the tour was perfect - especially since we were joined by some other Halladays!  Lindsey's aunt Jayne and cousin Laurel and her two boys met us there!  I know that temples are important here on earth and feel blessed to live so close to two of them!!

 

It was fun to share this special day with Jayne, Laurel and the boys (Jayne is taking the picture).

 

Infamous fall family pictures

Well, there are some members of our family who do NOT look forward to this time of year - okay, more specifically, the fact that their mother makes them take pictures!!  Yes, formal, matching outfit, pose together type photos.  There was a lot of protesting at the beginning, but amazingly enough, it didn't take that long!  And this year, we even included mom and dad in some of them!  Hooray for us!  You won't be seeing those yet though - they are being saved for the Christmas card!!

Lindsey's cousin Kyle and his wife Pam got to bless their new baby girl on Sunday.  It was so nice for them to have so much family around.  They have a great little family of their own and are super busy!  I was able to snap a few pics of my handsome boys as well as all the cousins and Great Grandma and Grandpa Rice. 

A week...

I can't believe that it has been a week since I last posted!  Time has flown by SO quickly!  There so many things coming up that we are looking forward to!  Next Saturday, Jaren and I are running in the Rattler Run, then the week after that is the Spring Karate Tournament here in MH.  Soccer and baseball are due to start right away and Carter's spring recital is just about here!  But, the most fun of all...our nephews and their truly delightful parents are coming up from the states for Easter.  Hooray!  We are so excited to see Nate, Steph, the boys and Uncle Jerry!  We are going to pack a whole lot of fun into one week! 

St Patrick's Day

Okay, so I didn't go with the plan.  Instead, I stuck a pot of (jello) gold at the end of my fruit rainbow!  The boys thought that it was so yummy and devoured the whipped cream clouds!  We had pesto pasta with broccoli and spinach and limeade to drink.  Of course, somebody left gold coins all over the table and some gold treats even made it into everyone's lunch kits! 

The boys had a contest at their school to see who could dress their teacher in the most green.  Tyler wanted to try out the wig that one of the boys was bringing for their teacher to wear.  Then Jaren decided it would be better suited on his head!  Oh well, as long as someone used it - I guess!
